Westpac were relocating more than 500 staff from a 17-floor tenancy in Queen Street Brisbane to a new workplace located at Eagle Street. Unwanted office furniture, appliances and kitchen items were being left behind to form part of the landlord’s disposal program.
Green Furniture Hub worked with Westpac as part of the office decommission program to help redistribute and rehome as many of these items as possible before the site hand-back.
- List all items for reuse on the GFH rehoming marketplace.
- Promote the items to local business and charities via range of marketing activities.
- Deliver a logistics program to collect all rehomed items.
- We relocated 200+ items over three evenings to our warehouse to enable customers pick-ups.
- 4,500 kitchen items and 200 loose furniture pieces were distributed to six charity groups.
- More than 600 loose furniture items were delivered to 10 SMEs.
